Yes, he will be eaten. Seahorses are very slow moving creatures. They do best in a species only tank.

Seahorses should only be added to a mature, cycled saltwater aquarium. A seahorse tank must have gentle to moderate currents for them to be able to feed properly.
Most seahorse aquarists use taller tanks. So go with a 20gal tall if you have one.A larger tank is preferable to keep water parameters more stable.
Seahorses should be kept in an aquarium to themselves, or with compatible tank-mates.most species of shrimp or bottom feeding fish.(gobys work good aswell)
And go with a Captive breed seahorse. Thay survive better in captivity, and they are less likely to carry diseases.

Unless you are going to keep a smaller seahorse like fuscus or zosterae it is recommended that you go no smaller than a 29g. (A 20g is a little large for the dwarf seahorse or h. zosterae.) The taller the tank the better. The rule of thumb is 3 times the length of the seahorse from tip to tail. They need the hight for their courtship dance.
If you are interested in keeping seahorses, you may want to check out the seahorse forum here.

i have a seahorse tank that has 2 false percs, 2 pj cardinals, 1 yellow wrasse, 1 algae blenny, 1 scooter blenny and 1 coral beauty.
the flow is not strong but i have lots of different filtration methods.
As long as water quality is HIGH, flow is low in the areas they hang out most, they have good hitching posts and the tank mates do not eat their food or harass them, then its good to go.
however, its always better to add the seahorse first, not last.

I have 3 seahorse tanks (zosterae, comes, and erectus~it's not recommended to mix species though some have been successful) and a reef tank.
My erectus tank has one cardinal in it. They've been together for a while and all use the feeding station. My other seahorse tanks are seahorse only (aside from some shrimp and snails).
In my opinion, depending on the size of the tank one or two of those fish might be okay but I think that all of those together is too much for a seahorse. I know that my perculas are aggressive when it comes to feeding time and would make it difficult for my seahorses to eat if they were in the same tank.
Seahorses are (while piggies) are slow eaters and a fish that is an aggressive eater would easily steal food or cause the seahorse not to go near what was put out for them.
Pete: if you haven't had all those fish mixed for a long while, you might want to look at getting a separate setup for your seahorse. Some of the fish you have in with it are really not recommended tank mates at all for seahorses.

Agreed...
that's kind of why I ask for time frames. If they all lived "happily" together for at least over a year, then I would boost about the success. If they lived together for less than a year (even less than 6 months) I consider that a non success and would be sharing my experience from that point of view.

That's what I figured.
Is that a little dwarf lion in you avatar? What a cutie!!
I was recently diving in the Bahamas and got to see some big lionfish. They were beautiful! I was torn because on one hand I was so excited to see one and in awe of their beauty. On the other hand, I was really sad to see it because I know the devastation they are causing/going to cause.

Hi Tony. You mean you already have a seahorse mixed with those fish? Or were you asking because you'd like a seahorse?
Cranberry was asking Pete about his fish because he has fish that shouldn't be mixed with seahorses.

Do you not have the sixline anymore? And I thought the hawk was added last week when the clowns started fighting with it?? I'd say if you still have those four fish as well as the sixline and the tailspot you are probably at your max fish level for your 28 gallon tank. I'd also think that a sixline with a seahorse would be an especially bad idea.
