want to add an anemone what do you think?

I was thinking about adding an anemone to my tank. Just some specs: 125 Gal, 2x400 watt metal halide 10k and 2x48 watt t-5 actinics. Is this enough lighting and I was trying to decide between the hadoni carpet and the bubble tip. I want whatever is easiest? What do you think? Also I know there is no guarantees of hosting but I have two false perculas.

Well your tank is plenty large enough, the lights are strong enough...how old is the tank?
Anemones are very sensitive to water quality and things need to be very stable, so as a rule a tank should be set up at least for 6 months.

tank has been set up for about 5 years, but recently I've put a lot of work in adding some lighting and a new reef octopus skimmer.

You have enough space and lighting for any of the host anemones. You should research the needs and requirements of the different species. Some of them can grow to be enormous. Since (I assume) it will be your first, I would recomend a less expensive/demanding more forgiving species. You can always sell it in the future or trade it for one of the more difficult ones. A great first anemone is the bta and another plus is that they are known to reproduce which is fun.

I boggles my mind that there are so many anemone haters in this forum. I have been keeping btas with softies for years, never had a problem. I have never had them roam and roam, never had them hide and not come back out, never had one I couldn't find in my tank either. There is really no excuse for one getting sucked into a powerhead, all you have to do is cover the intake with mesh material. The interaction of clowns/anemones is really special to witness. I am thinking it's the ones who don't prepare and provide them with the right conditions that subsequently have issues.
