I have always wanted a coral tank, they are just so pretty and nice to sit and look at for awhile. For equipment I currently have a 55 gallon tank, WavePoint t-5 light (4 lights), 2 small(er) powerheads, and an Eheim 2213 pump. I have 55 lbs of liverock and a layer of CaribSea live sand. I am currently working to get my calcium up and it is really close.
The tank has been setup for a few months and we, for some unknown reason, had our fish die (sadly). I am currently allowing the tank to sit for a bit any cycle for a bit longer and allow for a few water changes to get the chemicals in the correct spots.
What am I looking at needing to do to get this thing in line for a coral tank? Is my equipment ok? My wife works at an exotics shop that deals with saltwater fish and works on in-store credit so money isn't an issue if we need to do something different. I read the "101 tips..." and learned a good deal of stuff I didn't know, so for the other items, help?
