so now you read my mind. WOW.
Any time I see someone saying we want to make votes count equally. Then passes a bill to disenfranchise every vote in his state. Well how dare me point it out...
Are there any conservatives in Mass? lol
There are some very good arguments for and against the electoral college. And you yourself said, both parties have decided they didn't like it at some point or another. So hate to burst your bubble. I"m just making fun of a moronic statement by a democrat...
btw are you really trying to say, that dems didn't spearhead and pass this bill? It is funny, watching the news if one republican crosses votes with the dummycrats, that is bipartisanship. But if 20-30 dems don't vote for Obama's bill, I've never seen it called bipartisan opposition...
Who is applying their prejudice to who? It isn't me this time...
Who said I was a Democrat? Sorry, but I don't blindly vote by pressing the 'One Party Ticket' lever like you do. I actually research the views and opinions of the candidates, and base my voting decision on who I think will do the better job to benefit me.
This same bill could be passed in Texas, and you'd still blame it on the Liberals. You last sentence made absolutely no sense.

Oh wait after some thought, when I said, "I'm just making fun of a moronic democrat." I wasn't referring to you as the democrat, but the quote I pulled from the article and posted. The guy who said he wanted everyone's vote counting equally while voting for a law that just made the Mass voter's vote for president not count for didley.
And come on, if I were a blind political hack, I'd support this, and push for it in Cali, and NY too. After all Mass isn't going to vote for a republican candidate any time soon. And the feeling is on our side, a republican has a pretty good chance at winning the office next election... Meaning those 12 electoral votes would go republican... No matter how Mass votes.

Wow Darth. That statement reeks of Liberalism.

Why shouldn't it be me? Do you honestly think a politician really cares about what all their constituents need as a whole? Isn't that the Republican Way? "Don't be using my taxes to support them lowlifes on Welfare." "You want a Healthcare System for every American? What you talkin' about Boy! THAT'S SOCIALISM!"

The poor gov't classes taugh today aside, is not the electoral system a part of our Constitution? Would this mean that this law is by just definition unconstitutional?
Last I looked it took an amendment ( or a liberal judge) to change the Constitution.

Well "constitutionally" they have provisioning for the electoral college. But they don't have rules saying who they must vote for. Remember originally we didn't vote for president, we voted for congress, and they voted for president...
