warming change water

Todays is traditional water change day. I do about twenty percent every week. Now the question. My change water sits out with a power head running for a day but the water is around 72 degrees and my tank water is 79.
I take a small tuper whare container and fill it with some water out of the change container and micro wave it. Not boiling or even scalding water but warm and then dump it back in the change water container to warm it up to the right temp. I know a heater would make more sense but don't have the bucks this weekend after buying other supplies for the tank and quite frankly it had not occurred to me until I noticed the temp difference this morning.
Am wondering what harm could be done to mix salt water going in the mice for a few minutes.

I don't know about microwaving. I have been using a 5 gallon bucket and pulling the heater out of the tank just long enough to heat the new water. It takes maybe 10 minutes. This has worked well so far. Microwaving could be dangerous. You can't tell where a hot spot is. Just my opinion

either microwave,or slowly warm it in a stainless steel pot.As far as microwaving goes,if there was any parasites...their gonna be dead.Irradiated water is not a bad idea.
Make sure to mix it well,so there is no "hot spots"

I would just go for a the cheapest heater you can get. You don't need the same wattage that would be used in the tank. It's only for a smaller volume of water.

A heater would be best but using a microwave shouldn't be fatal. With temp the critical concern is no sudden fluctuations......
