washing dog

I don't recommend washing your dog with Suave shampoo - if it gets in her/his eyes it can be very damaging. If you're interested in washing your dog with something cheap and easy to get - wash your dog with baby shampoo or kids shampoo (they are tearless). The baby shampoo will be better on the eyes and will be gentler on the coat.

also, to add to this, human soaps can break down the natural oils in a dogs coat and skin as well. Causing excessiving itching and very dry skin.

Compared to the other things you probably spend money on (fish, for instance), you can get a gallon of concentrated shampoo that would last quite a while with your pup, and it will probably run you around $20 for the gallon.

I am, of course, referring to DOG shampoo....

baby shampoo is the best to wash the dogs in, the other shampoo's will dry out the skin too much and you will have doggy dandruff and other skin conditions over a time period. My sis used to use Sauve and now the dog had excyma(spelling) the skin condition with dry patches, so everyday she has to give the dog a baking soda bath and then every other week the baby shampoo bath.

I use Tea Tree Oil spray shampoo for dogs on my dog. It's very gentle. But I have a husky...not a little slinky thing like yours!!! My mom uses baby shampoo on her Pomeranian.
