Some folks use it to flush the toilets, others use it for the wash, others water plants, etc etc. We just dump it in the drain. Guess it all depends on a personas views on water sources, costs, waste disposal etc.....Here water is abundant, and dirt cheap.
I run the drain line into my washing machine whenever I make RO water. I actaully benefit from this because I dont waste any water and the water is harder which softens your clothes when doing wash. I also use the water to do water changes on my daughters goldfish tank. Them goldfish will live in nearly any kind of water.
I certainly would not use waste rodi water for water changes. Its a highly concentrated collection of all things that has been removed, so in stead of having a ppm of say 10 of a certain element doping water changes with rodi waste is goping to add up those concentrations to 20 and then 30 pretty darn fast. Its actually defeating the purpose of water changes in a way. Yes, you may be removing lots of junk but yu may also be concentrating other stuff. Just because a fish can livein some conditon is not a viable reason to doit. Look at bettas, they can live in a cess pool or a tin can full of green water, but its not healty for them.......Gold fish are more susceptible to bacterial and other problems than one may think, Water is cheap so at least afford the goldfish decent water not waste rodi water.
