I am a police chaplain outside of the Toledo, Oh. Last week, the Toledo Police Dept. had an officer killed in the line of duty by a juvenile. This is the memorial slideshow.

I just thought everyone should see what our police officers face everyday. It is very touching.
The officer was an undercover det. who was investigating a suspected drug deal and when he approaced the young man, the young man pulled a gun and shot the officer at point blank range. This young man was 14-16 years old. The officer managed to call out on his radio, "Man Down" and get off six shots that missed, but his partners got the kid and he is awaiting trial.
The young man has no remorse and sneers when he walked into the courtroom for arraingment.
The funeral had over 3500 police officers from 37 states and the line of cars was over 100 police cars.
Please pray for this dept and family.
Sincerely,
Chaplain Brandon Buford
Sylvania Police Division

I just felt like the Saltwaterfish family would like to see. Thanks for the prayers as I know that the Toledo Police Dept cherishes them.

A very touching tribute, but please keep in mind how many of these funerals happen everyday for Men and Women in the Military..

here here. i concur with Watson.
We are so blessed by the lives of so many. My hat goes off to the men and women in our military. Thank you for your sacrifice.

Wow! how can you not be touched by that?
I think police officers are very under appreciated. Men and women that chose and commit to protect us and receive little respect. I want to take this opputunity to thank all police officers for there efforts.
Firefighters, armed forces, all that put there lives on the line for the well being of others your courage is greatly appreciated.
