I wish I never saw mine! He's evil! He's killed his mate, and a mandarin, and tore the eye off another fish, as well as attacking almost every fish I own.
They are cave dwellers, so you rarely will see them, especially when they're first added to the tank. That being said, do you have any sort of top? They can be jumpers.

Mine took up residence in a cave right in front and if he isn't half out watching you he will come if you stand there. He is very curios

Wayner, I was just thinking, the last time I saw pictures of your tank, there wasn't much rock work, and I think you added rock AFTER sand. Is that still the case?
Your goby could be crushed under a rock. If you still only have a small amount of rock, you should've seen him, so if the tank is still the same, I'd venture to guess that he is under a rock, or jumped out.

Hey guys, I see him but only when I look for him when hes hiding in the back. As for the rock work, I have added some, but when I place all my rocks I dig them into the sand untill they hit the bottom of the take so I know they wont fall out of place in the future. I hope he comes around eventually

Okay, glad you did that with your rocks!
I didn't know that you were still seeing him. He should get more used to you as time goes on. But you're not going to see it swimming around the tank like your tangs are.

Do you know much about cleaner shrimp? I just gone one of those 2 days ago and he seems to be hiding as well, just wondering if he will ever come out.

They're usually very social once they get adjusted to their surroundings. Sometimes they molt shortly after being placed in a new tank, which willcayse them to hide more for a few days while their new exoskeleton hardens. When it's fresh, the shrimp is vulnerable to predators.

Glad to hear. It just takes them a little bit to get used to their new surroundings.
Now, stop feeding pellets
