Water Alarms?

Does anyone use, have used, or sell water alarms. I live on a third floor apartment, and this morning I walked into my kitchen to a giant puddle of water thanks to an RO unit, that couldn't read my mind and shut off when I went to bed. (it isn't my fault) I was making drinking water, it wasn't even for my fishtanks. To me it is not that big of a problem except I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment complex. I'm not so much worried about my tanks exploding, but I have forgotton about my ro-di unit a couple of times when I went to bed. And that is a problem.

That may be what I have to do.

Seems a float switch could help you here.
Otherwise, check out smarthome dot com. They've got a bunch of this kind of stuff.

Except this wasn't in a five gallon bucket, it was in my 5 gallon water dispenser jug. A float switch is a lot nicer idea than a screamer.

I use a little screamer from HD. It was about $12.
I had a few pretty bad floods down my basement. I set the 5 gal jug on top of the washing machine. Overnight, it overflows the washing machine and create a little pool on the floor.
Now, I use the water alarm and a timer to remind me.
