water change question

Is it really important to season/aerate/cure the water that you prepare for your WC. I read that you should do for 24 hrs before the WC.
WHY???
It seems to me that it's OK to tranfer the water as soon as the SAL and temp are OK.
ANY INPUT APPRECIATED.
Thank you

sometimes, newly mixed saltwater has traceable amounts of ammonia still. By aerating it for at least 24 hours, you're guaranteed that the ammoniums will be gone and the chlorine/chloramines too if you use tap water like me.

I always just let mine mix for a couple hours. Then check that the salinity and temp are the same. Then just do the water change. I've never had any trouble like that.
