water change

I was wondering if I could use 50' syphen hose ,get it to temp,add 2or3 gal of mixed salt from 5gal bucket for water change or is this to much of a shock?

If you are just doing a water change that should be fine ,,,, as long as the water temp. & salinity are the same .... just have it mixed ahead of time so the salt is all dissolved....(what do you need the hose for????)
