Water Change

I just completed my water change! I did about 8 gallons in my 37 gallon tank. My tank is cloudy now- b/c of the water change. I enjoy doing water changes, and would like to know if anyone else enjoys it as well?

I don't mind mine one way or the other, I can do it relatively fast so it doesn't bother me...I enjoy working with my tank in general.
I definitely enjoy water changes more than running tests though!:) I cannot wait to be done cycling.

Eh, it's a water change. I don't really enjoy it, but I do like the look of a nice clean tank after all the rocks have been blown down and the sandbed is clean. There's always a little cyano somewhere in a seahorse system, no such thing in my house as a ULN tank unfortunately.

I do a 5-10g water change every weekend, with occasional skips. The skipped weekend is always followed up by a 10g change the following Saturday, though.

Thinking I want to do a small change daily, or continuous water change!!!! Looking either at the LiteMeter III or the dual head Reef Filler.
Ours is set to do 2G twice a day.
Im definitely happy with the results of small daily water changes vs one large weekly one.

I agree...how do you automate your water change?
My husband made one and we use our controller to run it. There is a thread on here somewhere on how he did it. It needs to be updated now that we are using a different controller (Apex).
They do sell units to do it, but they're very expensive.

I have missed all of this....had no clue you could do something like that.....if you find the thread...send it to me :)
How much SW do you make up at a time?

I'm on the look for it now. My husband would love to build something like that, and I would love for him to build it :D I will post the link if I find the thread.
