we've heard..
we have a 150gallon tank, we've heard that if we took the water from the tank, airated it for 4 weeks, that indeed that water can be recycled.
any thoughts or experiences on this ?
it may do fine for removing things like nitrate(i dont know for sure) and such
but will not replenish trace elements and such
besides, why would you want to tie up your equiment for 4 weeks?

sure, i am sure it woud but you would have an increased ned for trace elements in the water too. And the increase in electric ot do this would amount ot soemthing.
IF it worked ok, like i said it may.
I think it could work as long as there is a way to replenish the trace elements another reason for water changes along with nutrient exports.interesting idea though.
