Water Changes

I had my first big(ish) tank for 7 years. It was a 90 gallon with wet/dry, with gravel (yes I was a beginner), some fake coral, and other rocks (no live rock or sand). I was slightly overstocked with some big(ish) fish (2 tangs, 2 triggers, SFE, and a Porcipine Puffer...yes...again....beginner). I eventually had a good protein skimmer, and a UV sterilizer. I was doing water changes of about 15 or so gallons about every 2 or 3 weeks (as per the suggestion of my LFS), and had pretty good success with the fish's health (SFE, Achellis Tang, Puffer and Humu all lived for the 7 years before I moved cross country and gave the tank to a friend).
My question...I plan to do a 150 (72 in long) with live rock, live sand, and still agressive fish with a wet/dry with protein skimmer later this year. What should my water changes be like? Will having the live rock and sand this time effect this much? Also, my plans not to overstock this time?
Thanks for any advice.

I have a 180, heavily stocked, FO and I do bi-weekly changes which seems to work. But I also have a heavy duty skimmer with allot of LR.

i do 5% water change per week with skimmer and canister filter running 20 hours per day (4 hours off for feeding filter feeding inverts)....it works for me.
For my 90g the 5% equates to approximately one 5 gallon bucket if you allow your math to be a little fuzzy.

I about 30%-40% every 2-3 weeks on my 35g... azaintcold, how do you run 200g of water in a 20 tank? that seems like a lot
