I know powerheads are a must in a reef tank but they are so unsightly. How do some of you hide them? Is there a small powerhead that will give me the circulation I need?

I use rio 600's for some circulation. They are the smallest I know of. I mount mine near the water line at the top to keep them out of view. My tank is built into the wall and the top of the cut out is a little lower than the top of the tank which helps to hide the powerheads.
Good question! I have 4 powerheads just for circulation. All in a 37g. 2 rio 600's,rio 800 with the spinner that hits the top of the corals, and a powersweep 212. 3 are hidden in the LR and the fourth is on top. It doesn't look that bad. Water movement for the tank is alot more important then the cosmetic value.IMO. From everything I've read, circulation is right next to lighting on importance of a reef.
I have been hearing really bad things about Rio powerheads. Anyone know what the deal is? I went to buy one at a respected LFS and they actually suggested I purchase a different brand that was cheaper, saying it was a better unit.
Is there any standard strategy relating to where the pumps are located or how water should flow around the tank?
The LFS that is working with me has not powerheads in his show tank. Creates circulation by having his tank turning over eight times with six returns coming from two pumps in the sump. Each return is facing forward in the back, but angled at different directions. Movement in tank looks like it comes in waves. Tank looks great. This is the way he suggest that I go.
