water clarity help

my tank has been up and running 2 months now. completely cycled, so on and so forth. i do 10% change every week. here's my question:
how do i minimize the amount of suspended matter floatting in the tank?
my setup:
55g corner rr w/ wet/dry
mag 5 return
aquac urchin w/maxijet 1200
2 - maxijet 900 in the tank
levels:
nh3 - 0
no2 - 0
no3 - 0
ca - 400
alk - 9.9
po4 - .5
temp - 80.5
sal - 1.026
inhabitants:
1 black occ. clown
1 cherubfish (dwarf atlantic angel)
1 cbs
1 arrowhead
4 emerald crabs
approx 10 blue-leg
approx 10 red-leg
approx 6 turbos
1 nass. snail

I have asked a number of LFS people and they basiclly tell me if your running powerheads, its going to happen, I HATE IT

someone might have some tricks, but turn of your ph wait 20 min and see if its still there, when I turn off mine stuff falls within 5min
