Water clarity

I am a VERY new hobyist. I have a 65 gallon saltwater tank about 8 weeks old. I think it has cycled and I have 5 damsels, 3 crabs, 2 snails and 5 fuji rock. I have a wet dry system that they tell me is great. My water is testing fine on salinity, nitrate, nitrite, alkalinity and ph. I am ready to introduce a couple of "real" fish, maybe clown or yellow tang, anenome, etc. The only thing that I am disatisfied about is my water seems to have lots of very small particles floating around in it. A couple of days ago I added another filter on the back Aquaclear 300 because the guy at the fish store said a carbon filter would help. It does not seem to have made a big difference yet.
What else can I do rid my water of these small particles. I am reluctant to add chemicals for this since my water is testing so well. The only thing I am putting in the water right now is essential trace elements and some calcium liquid to beautify my fuji rock(just started this). Help anyone ???

Polyfiber works for me. It looks like pillow stuffing and is made of polyester.
I just put some right under the drain intake on top of the filter pad.
After a couple weeks i throw it in the garbage.
You can also use a micron pad. But its more expensive.

Looking on the internet I see systems that "house" micronpads, is there away to use a micronpad w/o buying a system ?

Your wetdry should have a filter pad already.
Just switch out the old one for the micron pad.
Might need to cut it for your size.

Do the particles look like a bad case of dandriff? I have this also in my 6 week old tank. I thought they were tiny bubbles until i saw millions of them stuck to my glass. I think they are some kind of pod animal. It doesn't happen continuesly, but alot.

Good description. I did my first water change yesterday (my tank has cycled). This helped a little, but "dandruff" is a good description. SOme would say I am being picky, but I want a nice clear tank. Do you still have this problem too ?!!

I don't have the problem today, but i did yesterday, comes and goes, guess when they hatch? Not sure. I am picky also, but I keep telling myself its good for the tank. I use a HOB and the filter seems seems to help alittle, my water is crystal clear most of the time, thanks to the carbon in my filter pads. But I don't really want to run carbon 24/7, so I took them out this morning, so far so good.
