water evaporates fast

yep. i top off about 5g every week or two in a 75g.

Sounds about normal. I loose about 1/2 gallon a day in my 46.

get a A.T.O. Auto Top Off Controller . it tops off my water in a tank i fill 5-gallon bucket up once a week

Little over a gallon in my 75 and little over 2 gallons in the 150 with 2x400W MH's on it.

You may want to remove those tops or at least have them open enough that there is enough gas exchange.

I average about 5 to 10 gal in my 75 gal depending on the time of the year more water in the summer less during winter.
I also have two 75gal tanks and one 12gal aquapod so a average of 15 to 20gal a week.

That's nothing IMO. In my 55g with a 10g sump and a 20g fuge-I evaporate about 1.5 gallons per day, in the winter closer to two gallons per day. I have 2 fans though, which are used for evaporative cooling. That's why I have a DIY gravity fed ATO.
