Water Evaporation???

How much water normally evaporates out of your tanks? How often do you top off? Mine seems to go fast....is that normal? I have a small sump, and if I don't top off everyday, it gets really low in there! Also I do have a woodstove in the same room which might be part of the problem. We have a large pot off water on top off that which needs to be filled a lot too! Just wondering if this is normal?

I probably loose 1.5 to 2 gallons a day, specially in the winter. ATO is coming

I have a 75g tank and a 65g sump in the basement and I lose about 2.5g a day.I have a tsunami ato in a 18g tub that feeds the sump

Evap with normal humidity is typically 10% per week. Daily topoff or ATO is necessary to maintain a stable salinity.

My pico (3gal) goes through about 4 cups of RO/DI a day.

Same here: 75g (but not the 65g sump!) and lose about half to two-thirds of a gallon each day. Sound be good for your sinuses, especially with that stove! I'm surprised the smoke doesn't hurt your tank.

The smoke never really comes out into the room......if the power goes out at least the woodstove will keep the tank warm!

I do 2.5 gallons a day with 120g tank, 55g sump and scrubber double lighted
