Water flow for Chaeto?

Just got my fuge up and running this weekend, and really pumped about it. I think I have everything covered except for the water flow in the fuge compartment. The fuge compartment is about 13"W x 16"L x 13"H. My question, is a maxijet 1200 to much pressure to run in the fuge or should I go with something smaller?

if you have a good flow(a mag 5.5+) as a return, depending on how your baffles are designed, a PH where the chaeto is, is a bad idea...the impeller/sponge will be filled with pieces and probably mess it up.
your best bet is to UP the flow through your fuge. IF you chaeto isnt "rolling" give it a little "how you doin" once in a while and roll it by hand.

wait your using a MJ 600 to return the water from the sump/fuge to the DT?

This is what im doing. My fuge is part of my sump.Im using the return from my skimmer and pvc'n it into the fuge so it acts as a ph.

I actually have a mag 12 for my return pump with a ball valve about 3/4 of the way open on the return line. The Chaeto does not seem to roll with my current setup. Here is a picture of my fuge design. I will post some actual pictures later. I really just want to make sure that the Chaeto takes off.

that will be enough flow, once that chaeto starts to grow, it will end up in your PH if you have one in the same area as the Chaeto...
there is enought flow in your sump/fuge, no need for a PH.

Water flows through my refuge, but my cheato doesn't roll, so every now an again I give it a turn by hand. It's growing like crazy and I just had to harvest it the other day because it had no where else to grow.
