i use a power head in my refugium to keep the water moving just enough so that the water keep protein skim from forming on the surface of the water in my refugium.
+1. I got an 18" HOB refugium that I put a 92GPH E-bay pump in it to give my chaeto some decent flow. It has worked wonders! I aim it at the wall for dispersed flow and it keeps my chaeto well "flushed" if you will lol.
