Water idea

There are buildings next to mine that had tons of mercury stored in steel barrels stored in them for years. It was designated as a hazardous waste site and now the claim is that this site has been cleaned up. I assume the water from the drinking fountains is filtered (although I don't know this for a fact) I have tested my filtered water(RO/DI) and that tests at 1.0001. My tank water tests at 1.023. Since the meter works on the filtered water, and the salt water I mix, I have no reason to believe it doesn't work on the tap water.

Got a good story for ya guys
I just came back from w-mart, on the way to store I was thinking I'm going to buy 35-40 gal or as much as the cart will hold. I have 3 5gal containers just for water purposes but I really did'nt want to lug them in the store. Anyways I'm just filling those 1gal containers as fast as the machine will go thinking .33 is not a bad price to pay. Looked up and BAM $1.82 for the containers, OH no. You better believe the 5gal jugs are going in next time.

I tried that for a while too. I couldn't carry all the water I needed. I would just finish one water change and have to start carrying water again. I gave up and go the RODI machine. Initial cost is .20/gallon. After that the filters cost about $53 for 500 gallons water making the cost .106cents per gallon.

i hate lugging 5 gallon water buckets back and forth from my house to the lfs. i have about 4 buckets that i take to get filled every month. one time i did not realize that they didnt shut the top of the bucket. well, i pick it up and feezing cold water sloshes all over me, i mean i am soaked! that wasnt fun. another time a bucket came untied and tipped over in the back of the SUV. you can imagine the mess! i think its time for a rodi machine, but i dont have the money right now

I just came back from walmart with 28gal of water it is a big pain. The whole way home I'm thinking I hope I dont get pulled over. No sir officer that is not moonshine it's water. LOL
