water levels shooting up, please help!!!

i checked my levels today because i noticed out of nowhere the bottom of my tank is getting filthy and my live rock is covered in brown stuff now too... anyways, my water levels are not looking good, if you can please help me!

If this is a new tank, I would guess that you are having an outbreak of diatoms. This is perfectly normal for a new tank.
If this is an established tank, you have to figure out what has changed.

sounds like the tank is cycling. how long has it been set up?
what exactly are your levels?

I wouldn't say it's cycling, per se. My tank has been set up for almost two months, and the levels have been stable for one month and two weeks. I am just now seeing the diatoms. Except the diatoms are starting to go away and are being replaced by algae...oh goody.
