Recently i got my first test kit. It tests for ammonia nitrites nitrates and ph. I tested today after a water change and these are my readings:
ammonia-0
ph-8.1
nitrite-0
nitrate-7
temperature-79
salinity-1.025
I am very pleased with these readings. I was wondering if these reading would be sufficient enough for corals? I know i would also need to get an alklinity test kit. Thanx. p.s. i know i would have to have good lighting for the corals.

Ammonia is fine
ph and nitrite are fine
but your nitrate is way to high.
It should be 0
Also you salinity is high
bring it down to about 1.023.
What do you have in the tank?
What lighting do you currently have.

Just curious what size tank do you have and how old is it.

My tank is a 40gl and it has been set up
for 5 months. But I had a 20 gl before that stup for 7 months.
