water readings "Please Help"

I have a 90 gallon tank that was set up on 9/15/01. I have one yellow tang and three damsels in it. It was a FO tank until two days ago I added about 10-15 lbs of LR. I did this because I will be adding an Golden Tail Eel hopefully soon ( the fish will be relocted to another tank). But still to this day I have red/brown algae. I have done two water changes in the las two weeks on it. The last one being on Wednesday night.
I checked my water last night:
Nitrite .1
Nitrate 10
Amonia 0
I dont understand why my nitrate is 10, if everything else is low. What else sould I test? My only concern for my tank is it runs a 79-82 degrees due to the lighting. Im currently working on ventilation for it. Could this water heat be the cause of the algae? Or is my tank still cycling?
Thanks!

well as far as tha algae bloom problem, that may be due to the time that you have your lights on; you could possibly cut back on that time by maybe a couple of hours; possibly check your phosphates too
