What are some healthy/normal numbers for the below tests? I know most of em but i dont know Phosphate or KH/ALK
Ammonia?
Nitrite?
Nitrate?
KH/ALK?
Phosphate?
Ph?

ammonia - 0
nitrite - 0
nitrate - 20 or lower
kh/alk - between 8-10dkh
phosphate - 0-0.03
ph 8.1-8.4

Have been running phosguard bags in the filter. Seem like everytime its time to replace it...it's a must. What would make the phosphate go up so much ? Had it get as high as 5.0 before the guard. It will stay only at .5 with the guard.

I think this should have been else where. Just thought if you were talking levels that I could ask the question, Kinda new and stumbing around.

Are you using tap water?

Airforceb2, I finally got onto my own post and I'm almost sure that it must be the tap water. I was only testing for Ph, Amm,Nitrate and Nitrite until I couldn't keep any snails And then the LFS told me it might be because of the phos. That's when I tested and found out it was pretty high. I'm kinda keeping a hold on it, but I think all the advice on RO is my next bet. Thanks Bunches.
