Water temp

I generally run multiple heaters, all set for the same range, this help keeps swings smaller because the heaters work together to maintain the same temp. I run a total of 4 heaters in my 125 3 in the display and one in the sump. my temp never varies beyond a 3 degree range. which in my experience is stable enough I would prefer one degree but my heaters are cheap.

Mine was expensive, I don't remember the watts but I think it is a fluval e series 300 watt. It might be because it blinks LF a few times a day it's not working correctly. I think I'll take it out and clean it really good and mess with the power head and see if that fixes the flow to it.

Oh and the lfs wants 120$ for a new one

That's nuts...pick up a couple of Eheim-Jager 150's...they'll run you < $50 or $60 for both, and you can bank the rest (or put it into your fish fund!), plus you'll have redundancy.
