Water Tests?

Well did my bi-weekly tests and noticed my ammonia is .25 nitrites are 0.1 and nitrates are 10 ppm. I add phytoplankton, calcium, strontium, and iodine. My other parameters are good. I haven't added any livestock and up to this point everything was good. To be sure I did a small water change (4 gallons) and used distilled water. What may be causing this? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

How old is this tank?? Sounds like a normal cycling process to me. If you are cycling and there's no stock in your tank--don't do anymore water changes--just ride it out.
Sorry I'm a little confused--your sig says you have livestock but you said you haven't added any?? does that mean this is an established tank and that you just haven't added any recently??
If that's the case look for a dead animal or invert--that's usually a good bet in an established tank--even overfeeding probably wouldn't cause an ammo spike. (unless you dumpded tons of it in but I doubt that)
Did you add any lr?? Change any filter stuff??

I have an established tank with no new live stock. I haven't done anything maybe they were over fed or a dead invert as stated above. :D

dude, you might just be overfeeding. its easy to do and your ammonia will jump up b/c of it. or like someone else said, could be some dead
invert(s). you already did a partial water change, so there really isnt anyother suggestions aside from waiting it out and retesting in a few days. hth and good luck
