I dont use it but IMO its one of those marketing things (yes it probably has a small amount of live bacteria still in it), but honestly for the price you can get far more salt and mix it yourself for way less. as a once in a while thing to boost bacteria sure why not but as an everywater change thing I think its a waste of money. and if its been on the shelf too long or exposed to any extreme temperatures I dont care what they add the bacteria will be dead. your better off buying reef crystals or tropic marin salt and mixing it yourself.
if you dont have access to Ro water it might be a good idea to stick with it rather than use tap water, but who knows I use tap water have for years it works even though its not Ideal (for some reason buying a house is more important to my GF than buying an Ro unit, dont ask me why)
