Waterflow for nano tank

Hi, I was wondering what is the recommended water flow in a 12 gallon nano tank? Thanks.

I have always used 20x per hour as a general rule. So, for 12 gallons it would be around 240 GPH.

Oh... because currently i have a 60 GPH water flow... so i assuming that isn't enough at all is it.

If it is a JBJ 12 gallon nano cube, they are supposed to be at 106 GPH. Either way, I would add a minijet 606. It is adjustable from 82 – 153 GPH, so you can set it where you want it, and it is small. I have always had good luck with the mini/maxijet powerheads.

Or a Maxijet 600, which is 160 GPH and a larger overall pump, but the output is "pointable"

This site sells the Maxi-jet 600 and the same company makes the Mini-jet, but I don't see them for sale here.

You can try pm'ing saltwaterfish. Sometimes they can get things that are no listed on the website.

Get the Koralia 1 for Nanos, awesome flow! It will not blow anything apart. Ive got two of them in my tank, nice movement.

I have a 10g and I have 2 koralia nano pumps, plus I have a cannister filter rated for 40g tank, which also causes more flow.

There is no one answer for waterflow. It depends on what animals you're going to stock.
