I am in the process of buying a 150gallon SW ready setup, the only thing it dosnt currently have besides livestock is powerheads. So what I would like to know is what would be a good setup/amount of powerheads for the tank? Its a 150 long. Thanks for the help

What kind of tank will it be? I have heard noting but good stuff from Hydor Koralias. If it is a reef, then for your setup, you should put 2-3 Hydor #3s and maybe one or 2 Koralia #2s for spot flow. If it is just a FOWLR, then the 2-3 Koralia #3s should do it.

I would Ideally go with a bunch of korallia #4's maybe 3-4 of them and a couple (2-3 maxi jets on a wave maker) but this would be my reccomendation for a full blown mixed lps, sps, softie reef, without knowing what your plans are though its hard to give a perfect recomendation (note: the list I gave is an insane amount of flow)

You could start out with some Koralia 3s then you could get some Maxi-jets or Koralia 2s when you start to get some corals.

I have a 55g and I have one Koralia #3 and one Koralia#4. They are great. I an thinking about putting my maxi-jet 1200 back in for the corners. I have FOLWLR but am planning corals also.
