Would two Maxi-jet 600 with the wavemaker upgrade be enough circulation for a reef tank? I will keep softies and lps, and the tank is a 55g.

I would use 2 1200s instead of the 600's if you're only using those 2 pumps for circulation.

i would say no. that's only like 300g/h.

I would get like 3-4 900s or 1200s and not get the wavemaker, JMHO.

Would two 295 g/hr and a roughly 160 g/hr sump system with a Hydor Koralia 240 g/hr in the middle be enough circulation?

instead of putting all of that in the tank...check out a thing called wave2k....there are some folks that have it on here and there is a whole thread about it here as well...if i could have one i would get one in a heart beat

get a couple maxi-mods for your power heads. they work well and will give you much better flow.
