WE ARE SO EXCITED!!!!

We FINALLY got corals!!!!
We picked up some coral today! Our first! We got a bubble coral, an elegant coral and a anchor coral. we are so excited!
We had a small problem though-- right away, one of our peppermint shrimp ran RIGHT over while i was still placing the elegant coral, and as i was setting it down he ripped a tentacle off and ate it! (he is the really agressive shirmp- he nibbles at my fingers when i put them in the tank!) i moved the coral over to the other end of the tank, and SO far, he is leaving it alone. If he doesn't- he's going back to the LFS.
Just wanted to share about our new additions!

That's great! Well not the part about the pep shrimp. I haven't seen mine all week. Hopefully he's still alive. I was going to get my first corals today but we decided to go out tomorrow instead. Good luck and enjoy your birthday/anniversary.

I had the same problem with my peppermints, they ate half of my hammer coral. They went back the next day. Ihad to take all th lr out of my tank but it was worth it to keep my corals. The hammer is slowly coming back.

i kept a close watch on the peppermint, and he started munching on the anchor coral- so into a bag he went-- he is in a floating ziplock prison until tomorrow when we can take him back...
