We did it!

The 135 gal is up and running. We had 320 more watts vho so it has 760 watts. Currently we are using all the previous equipment from the other tanks. Emperor 400, Emperor 280. 3 maxijet 1200's and one maxijet 900. The refugium and sump will come later. We used all the sand from the 55 ( what a mess) and added a 18 pound rock for a total of about 140 lbs now. Sand bed is a little skimpy at 3 inches in some areas so we built it up to 5 inches in some areas. Will add more quality live sand slowly. Everything made the move OK. Fish and some of the corals are very happy and a few corals are still adjusting, although everything looks as if it's going to be fine. I had to wait a few days for pics til the water cleared. It's been up for a week now and we did the whole move in just a couple hours so tank has stayed stable (thank goodness) There is so much room in there for adding corals fish etc. The first thing going in is a blonde naso that lfs has on hold for us. Let me know what you think:)

My husband built the stand and hood. I love it!
My sixline wrasse never hides at all. Weaves in and out of the rock, plays tag with the royal gramma and as shown in the pic loves to play tug o war for the nori with the tang and coral beauty.

wats nori, jw cuz urs seems to be healthy, i guess lol, and i was wondering the best diet to feed it. i was thinking sum flakes once in a while but usually brine shrimp soaked in a heavy spirulina solution (Zoe) is that ok ya think?

Not sure what your question is but nori is seaweed sheets that you buy at the grocery store to wrap sushi in. It is something you should feed tangs and other fish that need algae in their diet. My tang, coral beauty, sixline wrasse and even clowns will eat it. Today while they were all chasing a piece around my emerald crab reached out from a rock and grabbed the nori and started munching on it. It was funny. A lot of people use a veggie clip to hang it on side of tank but I like to just float about a one inch sqaure of it around the tank. Hope I answered your question.

Good looking stand and canopy. You husband did an excellent job. Enjoy filling the expanded spave with LR and coral, I know you'll have fun.

Very nice, I love the stand and canopy.

Very funny BigMac......140 lbs of lr in a 135 and it looks more like a fowllr (fish only with little live rock) than a reef...and I thought you said you were going to stop using the baby as bait:rolleyes:
