We have 2 questions

We have 2 questions we would lie to talk about.
1. We are in the process of looking at a light system for our 90gal. We are looking to have some soft and hard coral as well as some fish. The lighting system which was recommended from the store is a "48in Outer Orbit 2x150w 10k HQI-MH 1 / 2x130w Dual Action & 6 White moon lights. This lighting systen clips onto your tank with four brackets in each corner and is self contained. The cost $700.00
A) Is this a good lighting system for what we are looking to do? Are there other type of lighting system that will do the same and not cost as much? Cost is not a real big issue, but would like to be smart when spending money.
2. We do not have a cover for the tank, would you recommend that we build / purchase one and if so we will not be able to use the above lighting sytem.
We were advised that fish will not jump out of the tank, but we found that hard to believe.
Please let us know your thoughts.
Thanks

I don't know about the lighting question but I would recommend getting a hood for your tank. I don't know what kind of fish you are planning got getting but I know some fish do jump. I had a diamond gobie jump out ot my tank when I accidentally left the hood open. Also by having a hood it protects you water from any harmful agent that could hurt your fish. I built my own hood out of plexi glass. I got the measurments of my frame and took them to home depot. I had them cut a piece of 1/4 inch thick plexi glass that I bought there. It has worked well so far. Good luck!!!

Question 1--search online for that make of light. Maybe even the auction site. You will find it cheaper. It sounds adequate to me. . . .
Question 2--If you use the light mentioned above, you will just need glass tops. HIGHLY recomend getting the glass tops!
Most folks build canopies to add beauty to setup(it is like furniture) or to hide the ugly light fixtures/fans etc. :scared:

Glass tops keep the creep off of your lights also. Much easier to just clean the tops. . . .
