The friends that I asked about it were from an online group. They lived in different states. And they all hadn't heard of the Chargers... is this all just a big joke?

Basically they are saying you must have gainful employment.
Please read my other comment responding to Ruaround...
France has the lowest income inequality rate of any "Economic Power"....Your telling me that is not Socialistic? I'm not saying having your entire country in the "middle class" is all bad, but it is Socialist.

It is still better than having them collect under the table cash or welfare which goes on in this country...and as RUA stated, it is must have a job...not given a job.

Like I said...What if they don't have a job that pays that? What action is taken?
BTW, I did a search on that, and could not find anything...just curious where you found it.

They are SOL. Still dont undestand why healthcare must be so prohibitively expensive. The emphasis seems to be on providing free health care instead of targeting the agencies who are doing the price gouging i.e $8.00 for a tongue depressor. This is beyond capitalism.

Yes, healthcare costs are ridiculous. Maybe politicians should be looking at ways to reduce them instead of trying to have a national healthcare system.
I think one reason healthcare costs are so high are because of our judicial system. Hospitals have to charge so much to cover all these ridiculous lawsuits. I read an article the other day of a lesbian couple that are suing their doctor because they only wanted one child, but instead had 2 through in-vitro fertilization (this was in Australia, but these cases happen all the time here). Doctors are also held accountable for every single decision they make. Doctors have to make life-threatening decisions, and sometimes they don't choose the right one; we shouldn't be able to sue every time that happens.

Yes.
That's a choice they make when they become MDs, if they dont want the responsibility or accountibilty then they shouldnt command such high salaries. It comes with the job. Although the lawsuit by the gays you mentioned sounds ridiculous, many times malpractice lawsuits are how accountability is enforced. Although rare, remember the woman who had the wrong mamory gland removed during a masectomy or the guy who had the wrong foot amputated?

I agree it's a choice they make, and they should be held accountable to a degree. I'm just saying that's one reason why they are paid so much, and healthcare costs are so high.

It's why Doctors make less than they used to, and why a lot of our smartest people are going into other professions. Being a Doc is just not worth what it used to be. Too much hassle, not enough money, the average Dentist in private practice makes more than the average M.D. Is this really what we want? Personally I want the guy/gal with the 175 I.Q. working on a cure for cancer, not scraping tarter off my teeth.

Boot him out the country? Send him to jail? I don't think so, but I don't know.
