Subject pretty much says it all. Does anyone know of a website or program that will let you put in what type of fish you have/ size to tank, etc. then tell you what you can put in it and what is compatible. Anyone know? link?

Actually, this site was extremely helpful to me. I started with a "dream, pie in the sky" stock list and posted it here. It was then changed, rearanged, modified, and altered to what it is now. I am 2 fish away from completing it and I could not have made the decisions without the wonderful people of this forum. Just post what you want and we can assist you in bringing it back to reality.

I can see where this would be a good starting point for a new hobbyist; but (IMO) there are far too many variables to make a compatability decision on just plugging a fish's name to a data base. there are several compatability charts around; but they just give you a basic snapshot; research is stiil required.

like the other said.alot of people on here have been at it for a long time.i have had alot of fish over the last 25+ years you can find compatibility charts but they are only a guideline.like tanks i have had 5 in a tank the trick is order of introduction ,size of tank ,size of fish .alot comes into play.problem with buying fish the website will tell you a large angel fish is ok in a 75 gallon tank.which they are not.best to post your wish list with the tank you have and get opinions from unbiased reefers.
