No, not yet.
Until your amm., and nitrites go down to 0 you are still in your cycle. Let it finish. You are doing good and this is your test of patience.

NOPE NO WATER CHANGES! SHOULD I BE DOING ONE?
You can wait until your ammonia and nitrite reach and stay at zero. What was the ammonia source? Do you have live rock at all or just the CC?

since we are all talking about new cycle levels, my new 30 gal is now 3weeks old.
Amm is 0
trite 2.0
trate 20
ph 8.2
cal 480
Dkh 12
phosphate 1.0
Should I be worried. I did a 12 gallon water chang and didnt see any difference in trites. Is this normal?

Yes it is. Let it cycle through. There is no livestock in there right?

no no livestock. Just LR and LS. I can't wait for this to be done so I can start to stock it. When all levels start to get normal what kind of CUC should I get?? It will be a reef tank.

Im comming up on my 2x Month on my newest tank and my No3 is giving me a run for my money. I have a 55 gal tank, good sand/substrate thats came from amy other est tank, about 60 pounds of old LR from my last tank. I have had great numbers with No2, PH and Ammonia being perfect. I have two small crabs and a few cleaner clams I brought over from my est tank to help get things going.
My No3 has hovered around 20ppm. it stays, never go's up and even after a %30 or %40 water change in one day...back to 20ppm...

I do not have any idea by now it should have established a good level, I have stumped my guru at the local store, the normal cycle of ammonia to No2 to No3 has some how gone strait to Ammonia(0 ) to No2 (0) to No3 (20ppm).
I have wanted to add some small fish but I have a perfect record on keeping saltwater fish for the past 10 years ( knock on wood!) and I dont want to jump the gun.
One idea I was presented with was, My bacteria was so well established that the crabs n clams were not enough to really give off enough ammonia to really jump start the who bio cycle and the bacteria needed to help with the No3 never were really established...? so I get maybe 2 or 3 damsels to add some Ammonia?
any ideas?

It is less confusing for everyone if people all have their own threads. We are happy to help if you want to start a new one.
