Week 8 (sorry I was ahead last week)

Well, my usual 3 games on sunday is 2 because of the World Series.
There was nothing horribly interesting this week. Farve and Peterson, and the vikes are dang good. GB is a decent team.
The Cowboys took care of business something they really haven't done in the
recent past. It was nice.
Actually I take that back. The Titans started Vince Young and won! I'm happy for Vince, and what the crap? 1-too many for the Titans. Poor Fisher... I wonder if his head will be on the chopping block. I mean he's been there a while... Heck I was in elementary school when he started with the OILERS. It has been that long.
And what is EVEN more interesting, the Giants have lost 3 straight. And looked bad doing it. And more importantly it seems the Cowboys are progressing instead of regressing during a season.
(sorry I didn't even look at the AFC this weekend other than the titans...) I don't have cable right now, so I can't even watch ESPN to catch up.

I don't think Vince had much to with it. Chris Johnson has to be at least the conversion about the best RB in the league. IMO there are 3 guys, Peterson, Gore, and Johnson. Each one as their own pros and cons. I'm not sure I'd rank Johnson over AllDay, but as far as the elite of the elites go, Johnson is up there.
Denver perhaps got a bit exposed as they finally played a real team in the Ravens and got smoked. Kurt Warner had a very bad Romo'esque like day, 5 INTs....
MNF should be a good one. Hotlanta is perhaps just to injuried at RB to contend. Still picking them though.
And in college, Bama got penalized for not playing this week
. If they do great against LSU, calling it now, they jump to #1. The Ducks destroyed a terrible looking USC
. Had to turn off the Texas game. Horrid officiating.

I'd say Texas got rewarded for slamming a ranked team and Bama was still suffering the hangover from barely beating a blahhh 500 team. Not all that surprised Oregon beat SC, didn't expect them to administer that level of butt whippage though.
Good to see the Donkeys get spanked in the pros. Favre looked like he had fun today as well

Its amazing what a little surgery can do for an 40 yr old man. Vikings look solid all around. Funny how all the critics are on quiet time when you are 7-1.

You just have to ask one question? Why was Brett wanting to retire again?

I can honestly say that the Giants looked absolutely terrible yesterday!! I'm considering selling my ticket for the San Diego game as a result.

It's funny, right before the season started Mike and Mike (ESPN radio show every morning) were discussing which coaches in the league could survive an 0-16 season as a topic...The said Bilichick for sure, and the only other ones they thought were Fisher and maybe Tomlin. They I'm sure thought it would never happen to either, but Fisher gave it a run.

I drove 240 miles(each way) and paid $200 to watch that pathetic performance yesterday. Arizona couldn't stop Carolina from running the ball. The announcer on the radio said Delhomme threw the ball 14 times the whole game, which was stupid. If they ran every play it would have been 81 to 21. Last time I waste my time, money and back ache supporting the home team. I'll make the trip if KC comes to Az, but never again to watch a limp wristed defense. I chose the Carolina game believing it was the easiest game on Az's schedule. Scrxw the Cards. I can watch my Chiefs lose for nothing.

What about Miami, that was interesting. Teddy Ginn ran back two kickoffs in one quarter (for 100 and 101 yards). He's a lousy receiver, but maybe he'll pay off as a returner. Am I the only one thinking Miami in the Superbowl? Well, I can dream anyway.

Jake and the guys have had a rought start, but NEVER under estimate the Carolina Panthers. Your money would have been better spent at a local bar...

Don't do that, it is a football game... Win or lose you still went to a football game! (Football is a team I use loosely to describe what is a Giants game hehe)

Who would have thought.
