weird ammonia test!!!

i just started cycling my 55 gallon. Im testing for ammonia and the test shows me a bluish color, which isnt even on my chart for the test. It goes from yellow to dark green. Does this blue just mean my amonia is higher than the chart goes to??

What kind of test are you using?

its a saltwater master test kit by the aquarium pharmaceuticals inc

if its a dark blue than yes.........your ammonia is super high........thats what i had when I started.

IDK, I have that same test kit :notsure:
Maybe your ammonia is higher than the color goes, or maybe your test kit is defective.
Are you cycling with a raw shrimp?

actually i threw some frozen krill in there for a few days I figured it was high. It has changed from a dark aqua color to a sky blue so i believe its going down.
