my fish keeps swimming at the tupe thingy on my filter and rubbing himself against it and he is kinda swimming funny like all jerky

if you cant see any noticable white spots, then it is not ick. But there are many different ways to treat ick, such as hyposalinity, medicins, go to the thread on the top of the disease and treatment forum posted by Beth. You can find symptoms there. This may also help for your fish. How long has the tank been going? Are you cycling with this fish? Are his fins in tact? are there any noticable differences about his appearence? What are your water parameters?

Is he swimming in place all twitchy like he is having a seizure sometimes? It could be tuberculosis. Does he have any curvature in his spine?

no i don't have a grounding plug (eek) but the other fish isn't twitching, my tank has bee up for about 3 weeks, and the people at the LFS told me that since i used their water, from their tanks and LR, also from their tanks that it would cycle (i'm beginning to think they were wrong or lying) i think i see 2 spots though after looking closer, would there be more or could it just be in the early stages?

oh and i'm not sure of my parameters they told me that i should have to check for a couple weeks so i'm going to get some testing supplies today

the tuberculosis sounds right, cause he is twitching like he's having a seizure, but the little bugger won't stay still long enough for me to look at his spine, i'll try again when i get home though

O-67, where do you get a grounding plug? Does this go in the tank? Thanx. :notsure:

If you have inverts that is a very risky move! Meds can kill inverts so as advice "DONT EVER" treat your main tank "EVER"! Could be alot of money killed in a cleaner crew. And if you ever plan on getting inverts since you put meds in it it can kill them no matter how long down the road you get them.
