Weird white spot on starfish

Ive had my starfish for about a year now, and i noticed this white spot on it, dont know what it is, and ive never seen it before.

That's a tough call at this point. I would keep an eye on things but otherwise that is a pretty good looking star.

I took a second look and noticed that it seems to be confined to one single "scale"

well the spot is gone now, it was probably a deformed scale thing or something that fell off it self, star still looks good and "plump"
