Hi All,
I recently purchased a percula clown. I am sort of worried because ever since I have placed him in the tank he has been hovering at the top in the corner. :( Should I worry? He has not come down to inspect his surroundings at all! Also, do the perculas seem happier in pairs?
Thanks for you insights!

Well... I always get a bit nervous and a fish stays in the top corner of my tank. That's just a feeling though because it does not mean anything bad necessarily. Maybe he is experiencing some stress. Do other fishes around show any agressivity around? What kinds of fish do you have in the same tank? Did he eat at the lfs? Did he eat since you put him into your tank? You see, you don't give enough details to get an accurate answer. But yes, in my own (limited) experience, perculas like to be in pair. They are very cute too. :D

Thanks Frenchman,
The other fish don't even notice he's in there. I have a 3 stripe damsel, blue damsel, and a snowflake eel. He has eaten, but I have had to place the food (flake and squid) close to him so that he will see it and eat it. At my LFS he was in a tank with another Percula, should I purchase that one as well?
Thanks,
-Jes

Hmmm... Here's the thing though, he doesn't come out of that corner even when the lights are on. He usually comes out a little at feeding time, but he stays in the same vicinity. :(
I think I'll get his tank mate, I hope he's still at the LFS.
