I think I am going to give up having a angel fish, I thinking of having some gobies instead,
also How long should I wait till I move all of my coralsto my new tank?
the tank has been running for about 2 weeks and the first 25 gallons or so ran in a trash can
for about a week before I sat the tank up also I adding about 5 gallons of dirty water from my other tank
to help start the nitrate process,
I was thinking of moving all the stuff this sunday, all the corals having been doing good in my other tank
here r some photo's from this afternoon , sorry about the dirty glass I didnt want to make any corals close up, due to me cleaning the glass for a quick photo,
Can anyone tell me what the grass coral, (girlfriend came home with it from the LFS and I not sure what spieces it is)
I love my red zoo's the best and the other zoo's I got at the LFS had them both about 6 months,
the grass a little more, the devil hand I just got here at Saltwater fish, not sure if it a true devil hand, but they gave me a refund, so I have to say thank you saltwater fish for all of ur help,
I plan on ordering some fish on monday and get them wed my day off, i want to have the corals in there before I add the fish or should I wait another week to the corals not sure please help me out dont want to lose the corals....

Hi,
I hate to be a buzz kill…your tank is too new for an anemone. I also think you are building up your stock too fast. Take your time and slow down, you put such great work into it, and it does look great. You just started building the tank set up in the end of April. (4-22)
But if you don’t develop some patients you could be heading for a crash. Remember your first tank, all the changes still have to happen, just like a new setup even though you have established rock and coral from the old tank.

I have not added a anemone yet plan to in 6 months or so
also never had a crash is that when u suddenly have a hugh bioload and
u dont know it to do a water change? and everything dies?
also my tanks are in the green
great new filter system with carbon and gfo reactor's in both tanks

Hi,
I was worried you had bought an anemone already. LOL..Yes going too fast causes everytng to die for those reasons. I love the new tank and was following the thread, not making any comments, thought you knew what you were doing..then when I peek back you were talking anemone. Post #30 and #31...

All is well after all.

I know going from a 30g to a 75g looks so big and roomy, but it really isn’t much bigger than a 55g.
I’m just talking about fish..it does not mean for you to change what you want, your stock list is just fine. I don’t want you to misunderstand or anything.
If you get a tang it will have to be a very little baby for a 75g. That way you can keep it for a year or two. Be prepared, when it’s time to get it out you will have to remove just about every rock, I know because I keep a Hippo Tang, from a 55g to the 75g to the 90g I have now. You don’t have to give up on an Angel fish, go for a small pigmy one. They are great for eating algae (even hair algae), very active, swimming in and out of the rocks and really eye popping pretty.
I like clowns, I have two regular ones… the only thing they host are the intake and output tubes. So getting a clown is not a guarantee they will host, so don’t choose a clown for only that reason. They just stay in one corner of the tank and swim in place. My Mother insisted I get them and frankly they are boring. A royal Gramma or some other dottyback would look nice, I chose a Fridmani Dottyback, I love the purple, and they stay small (3 inches) darting in and out of the rocks. The fish with the most personality awards go to the sand sifting goby and the blennies.
There are allot of fish to choose from and with a 75g it fills up fast so be very picky. May I suggest you make some hard copies of your tank diary, computers crash and CDs get scratched and damaged. I speak from experience. So now I print out my pictures and just got a notebook and a hole puncher and store them in there. I don’t know how many times I had to scan an old picture to share, even on this site, that had been lost to a computer crash or a CD that just insists is corrupted and can’t be read.
