Wellsophyllia swollen

Well i have a Wellsophyllia....it did not look too big in the LFS..it looked like this

now it looks like this

Both pics are acceptable - skeleton is showing, nor is the flesh tightly pressed against the skeletal ridge. The below picture looks like it is getting ready to release its feeding tentacles!

Yea at night it seems to get more like picture 1 and has feeding tenticals... just wasn't sure if it should swell up like that during the day.... just my 420's are on right now and it looks like the 1st picture

Well I replied to your thread but I don't see my post. I guess I need to get used to the new setup here. Anyway, mine used to swell when food fell on it. I think they will swell to create more surface area for catching more food or something like that.
Ha, never mind ... I posted to your same topic in the reef section.
