Hi there.
about 4 days ago i got a new Mystery Wrasse, after that i did the aclimation i have put him into my 125 gal tank. since then i did not see him.
Is it normal for him to hide for so long into the rocks OR he die on me?

hmm check ur levels, if ur ammonia and stuff is up then hes most likely dead cuz his dead body is decomposing

he is a wrasse, he might be in your sand. look around really closely and see if you can spot his nose sticking out of the sand. sometimes its hard to see. i have a coris wrasse that spends most of the day in the sand, and often its very hard to find him.

First check the floor around your tank. Someone very recently had one that jumped ship. If all else fails, assume he buried himself in your sand assuming you have sand as a substrate.

wrasses hide very well, for a while I had a wrasse in my tank with 3 10 pound pieces of live rock. I could take the live rock out of my tank and still not see the wrasse. He would magically re-appear a couple hours later.

Did you QT?
Give 'em time....I'm sure he's hiding.....very scary for a timid fish to go from home to home to home and then have lights on him.....He's just gaining confidence.

i was going to ask the same question. it wouldn't be lost if you qt'ed it...hopefully you don't infect your tank with something.
check your overflow box and the top of your filter as well. get a cover for your tank as this fish is way too expensive to let flop on the floor. use eggcrate from homedopot/lowes lighting section.

do you have a dog or cat? i have had a missing firefish show up in my garage after jumping ship, and getting carried over to the garage, and then nibbled on and left alone.
