Wet/Dry just broke, interested in refugium

Hello Everyone, my wet/dry filter recently broke after about 5 years of running. The latches that it hung off of and also released water into the main tank cracked off and I'm pretty sure this leaves it dysfunctional. I was considering changing to a sump/fuge setup but have next to no clue on how to create and maintain one. The aquarium is 55 gallons with plenty of room underneath the table it stands on. Can anyone give me an estimate on the cost and size of the aquarium I'll need to create a sump/fuge? The aquarium is not drilled either. Also a website that could tell me how to DIY would really help. I'm currently searching myself at the moment. Thanks for the help.

If you want easy...look up sealife systems wet/dry.....look at the pro models...they come with a protein skimmer AND on overflow....I have one for my 225G and I love it
all you have to do is order it...and then hook it up :)
I also converted the middle section to a refugium
OOPS I forgot...you have to buy the pump LOL
