just set my tank up. i have a protein skimmer and a penguin mini filter (over the side filter). ive read a couple articles both of which say wet/dry is better for fish only, not for reefs. ive never even seen one. looking to do small amout of corals and fish and the cheapest way to filter tank. thanks.

Looks like you have enough filtering, if you have LR and LS too. Also one other thing, you have 2 anemones in a tank 5 weeks old, if you had done your reaserch, then you would know they need an established tank, and alot more then 3WPG.... just a little general info....

Emporor 400. Not the best for reefs, but should be ok for a few small pieces of coral. Been running mine (FOWLS) for a year or 2 now.
Best is more LR and LS.
LR- as much as you can afford of fit
LS- # of gallons + %50 is a good baseline.
Lighting is going to be $$$$$$.
Look into it.

Not familiar with your type of mechanical filter......all I use is lr/dsb/refugium/and at one time a skimmer......its a 55 reef and stable now for an extended time(more than a year...so its still a infant!)...but the filtration is simple and works good.........do a quick search on reef filtration and you'll find tons of technical info.........
