B-Ionic 2 part is a very popular supplement as is the powdered calciuim supplements. Personally I like B=-ionic as it has worked perfect for me, and its the only supplement I buy or use..... I konw others are gonna dissagree, but I would sabe my money on the test kits you list and go with PH, Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammnonia and Calcium and ALK...forget the others like PHos and MAG. Personally if you have a tank with sufficient live rock and its not overloaded with livestock (fish) I owuld probbaly forego the NItrate and nitrite and ammonia test kits as well. It woul dbe a rare thing if fish are fed properly and ro di water is used, to get phosphates built up, or nitrite or ammonia.......Even the PH is gonna balance it self out once a tank is matured and calcium and alk levels are in place. NOw if you have a bare tank with just a little or no lr etc then I would go with ammonia, ni and na tests kits as well, but calcium certainly would not be any concern then either. Test kits for the most party are not needed no where near as much as foks say they are once a tank has been up and running for awhile, and odds are most folks unless they are paranoid or doing excessive feedings and cutting back on water changes etc your test kits will long expore before half of them are even used.....I have not done an ammonia, PH, NI, NA, Am test in over 6 months probably more....I test for calcium and alk once every 2 weeks, and thats it.....Some folks use a test kit up in a months time.....no need! Flame away on my inept fish keeping but it works, trust me.

You get no flames from me chipmaker. I am the same way. I test little.
1) I have not tested my nitrite/nitrate/ammonia/phosphate for over a year.
2) Test pH, calk, alk, mag every month or so.
I dose kalk to get my calcium / alk level up. If you have a small tank, 2 parts additive is good. If you have a large tank with lots of corals, you might think of getting a calcium reactor.

One day about 2 months ago a few fellows and myself got into a discussion of testing in the local LFS here in town.......one thing lead to another but what all of us "customers" did agree on, is the use and sales of test kits is a money maker for a lfs and is more hype than is necessary once a systemn is up and running ok.......its yet another gimick for the most part they badger you and intimidate one into needing to do daily or weekly, which simply is not the case. I know for a fact my two LFS probbaly do nothing in regards to checking water in any tank other than to check SG in the marine tanks, and for test kits, nope no way........and even the clerks will tellyou the same on the side out of earshot of the owner.......they simply do not do all the tests that they say one should do.......Inyet another saltwater forum, they all agree the same no need to do all these tests that get shoved at you in the time frames.......its a gimick to get sales and money......I just o=want to seeone tanak with sufficient quanity of LR and at least a 1" sand bed, not overstocked with fish, and not over fed, get an accumulation of ammonia......its not gonna hapen. Those that test daily for Amm, Nitri and Nitrate during cycling is also being lead by their nose........all it takes is an ammonia indicator pad and when it goes to normal color then check.........
